According to LA Times blog Hero Complex, in a conversation they had with Samuel Jackson, who played Nick Fury in a suprise cameo at the end credits of Iron Man, he said he might not be reprising the role.
“There was a huge kind of negotiation that broke down. I don’t know. Maybe I won’t be Nick Fury. Maybe somebody else will be Nick Fury or maybe Nick Fury won’t be in it. There seems to be an economic crisis in the Marvel Comics world so [they're saying to me], ‘We’re not making that deal.’”
First, Terence Howard is replaced with Don Cheadle, and now this. I wonder what’s going on at Marvel, they had a huge hit with Iron Man last year, but now it’s starting to sound like Twilight’s off screen pre-sequel antics.
